Tim Baas, final year student at Hogeschool Leiden has started comparative test of commercially available 'wireless-ethernet-bridges'. This type of equipment will be used by Wireless Leiden in a new configuration of the network. This will allow higher bandwith and more reliabel connections.
In the project seven types of bridges will be tested. During the initial tests data speeds of up to 51 Mbps were measured, which is about tien times the present value.
