Wireless Leiden offers free internet during the "Serious Request" event of the Dutch Radio 3 station to visitors of the Beestenmarkt.
On Friday, December 9, a Wireless Leiden node has been built, to make this possible, in the building (rented to Webster University) on the corner of Kort Rapenburg and Galgewater. On the location Wireless Leiden has also placed a webcam. See the pictures of the webcam elsewhere on our site.
The SSID of the node is ap-WirelessLeiden-Webster. Wireless Leiden has permission to leave its apparatus at least until the start of 2012, and possibly longer.
All this is only possible thanks to the kind cooperation of SLS (Stichting Leidse Studentenhuisvesting), the owner of the building, and Webster Universiity, who rents the building
