Wireless Leiden facilitates webcam pictures and open wifi-internet during the so-called Serious Request event in Leiden. In cooperation with SLS Wonen and Webster University the necessary equipment has been installed near the Beestenmarkt. There are already a large number of wifi-hotspots around the Beestenmarkt, but they are not free to use. They do, however, cause a lot of noice and internet will not always be very fast, depending on your exact location.
The webcam pictures can be viewed on the Internet at the Wireless Leiden website thanks to AnyWi Technologies BV. AnyWi makes the webcam and the video server available.
