On March 19, 2011 four of our volunteers have upgraded the Node Aster, at the Asterstraat 254 in Katwijk, to a Wireless Leiden node according to the IRIS concept.
The node was originally built for the soccer club "de Rijnvogels", in order to transport their internet connection. Furthermore a connection with the Wireless Leiden network was made. The "Rijnvogels" have lost interest in the node some time and the node was not used since.
After having obtained consent from the owner of the building the node was rebuilt as a Wireless Leiden node, with interlinks to the nodes Lijtweg en Unigor.
