Wireless Leiden looking for a project leader node construction

We are looking for a project leader for our node construction activities. Although we have several experienced volunteers for node construction we are missing a coordinator that can lead such projects.

A 'node' is a the construction of antennas and nodemachine (PC), usually on rooftops, that provides the access to the wireless network.

The project leader develops the plan for building new nodes or revamping existing ones. He/she coordinates the preparations and the actual construction.

Sitesurvey at 'Nieuwe Energie'

We have carried out a site survey at  "Nieuwe Energie",  the new incubator building at 3e Binnenvestgracht. We want to build a node here, a.o. to provide connectivity for the ROC Leiden network service desk that will be set up in the building.

Monitoring systems for servers and nodes

We are developing new monitoring systems for both our servers and the network. These monitoring systems can also be reached from the Internet, thanks to the connection provided by Joost B.V..
